poem

Homesick For Heaven: I am homesick for heaven, I have a deep longing in my soul, to see the blessed face of Jesus, and be made perfectly whole. I’m homesick for heaven, my loved ones to see, to sing praises to God, our Savior, for eternity. I’m homesick for heaven, where those saved by Jesus dwell, through His blood He redeemed them, and saves their souls from hell. I’m homesick for heaven, soon Jesus will take me there, cast on Him, your every care and join Him in heaven, where eternity, we will share. I’m homesick for heaven, I have a deep longing in my soul, to see the blessed face of Jesus, and be made perfectly whole.

Thanksgiving: On our calendar, Thanksgiving comes once a year, but in my heart, it is always here. In the morning, I thank God, for the things I see, all the beauty He gives to me. I thank Him for each sound I hear, the rustling leaves, the bleat deer.I thank Him, for the roof over my head, and my warm cozy bed; I thank Him for each scent I smell, some beckoning my stomach to fill. I thank Him for the things I touch, being able to feel, means so much; I thank Him for my family, each one, so special to me. I know now, what I am trying to say, thank God for everything, everyday! On our calendar, Thanksgiving comes once a year, but in my heart, it is always here.
