“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
— C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity)

A favorite quote of mine, hope you enjoy it too!

“Certain things can only be dealt with
by ignoring them; if you face them you increase
their power. It is absurd to say, Pray about them;
when once a thing is seen to be wrong,
don’t pray about it, it fixes the mind on it;
never for a second brood on it,
destroy it by neglect.”

 Oswald Chambers quote

Some people go from day to day, not thinking about God.

Others say there is no God, that He is not real. As I am sitting here

writing this I am looking out my window viewing the beauty

of nature around me and I wonder how any one could say,

there is no God or He is not real. I see my God, in each flower,

each tree, in each rain drop He sends my way. I see Him in each

wave in the sea and hear His whisper in each gentle breeze. I

hear His majesty in each song the song birds sing and I enjoy the

blessing their melody brings. I know my God is real, when I see

how lives are changed, when they give their life’s reins to Him.

I know my God is real when He gives me joy in my times of

stress. I know He is real when He gives me strength in times

when I am weak and in pain and how He restores my soul when I pray.

Yes dear friend, my God is real because I feel Him in my soul.

Dear friend I trust that you will believe my God is real and feel

the joy He can give your soul.

Early Morning [ by Winston Staples ]

It is early morn, no one is around, off in the distance, I hear a sound, it is the sound of a car horn, in the cold air, it sounds so forlorn. It has snowed all night; the ground is so beautiful and white, and in an hour it will be day light. I am watching the horizon, and waiting for the sun to shine so bright, it will change this darkness into beautiful sunlight. I will raise my hands and with a joyful shout, and thank God for all His creation about!

Poem { Precious Moments }

Tic, Toc, tic, toc, go the hands on the old clock; Squeak, squeak goes the old lazy boy chair, as I slowly rock, and relax there. I am thankful, for each second, each moment, each tic, each toc, as I listen to the sound of that old grandfather clock. I count my blessings, and sing as I rock, and I am so thankful, that I can see and hear that old clock. I take a deep breath and joyfully say, I am thankful for each precious moment, God has sent my way.
