Psa. 149:4.—- The meek are made beautiful with salvation.
Isa. 29:19.— The meek shall increase their joy in the Lord!
Psalm 37:11— The meek shall inherit the earth and have an abundance of peace.
Isa.61:1— Good tidings of the gospel is to be preached to the meek.

Col.2:12-23— Being saved from our sin by the finished work of Jesus on the cross we are new creatures with new desires and are set apart to become like Jesus and one of those characteristics is meekness.

Meekness—- humbleness, tameness, extreme submission.
Christ set an example of meekness. Psalm 45:4; Isa.53:7; Matt.11:29; 21:5; 2 Cor.10:1; 1 Peter2:21-23. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. [ Isaiah 53:7 ]
