Bible sayings about the affiction of Saints

 Even after having chronic pain all these years since 1964, in valleys and on hills I never stop praising God for seeing me through each day. As afflicted Saints we must hold on to our help in good and bad, that rock of refuge and stength is Jesus.

 Psalms 13:5,6; 56:8-10; 57:6,7; 71:21-23. No matter our situation keep on praising God for our    salvation!

Psalm 13:5-6

 5 But I have trusted in Your mercy;
         My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
 6 I will sing to the LORD,
         Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

 We should imitate Christ as we suffer our affliction!  Hebrews 12: 1-3; 1 Peter 2:21-23.

18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.  Christ God’s only Son and our Savior is with us!

2 Timothy 4:17; Hebrews 2:18.

2 Timothy 4:17—17Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.  Jesus supports us and carries us through our troubles!   Hand in hand with Jesus,
He will safely lead,
soothing every heartache,
meeting every need.      A few lines taken from a poem I wrote a few years ago!

Forever

I learn as the years roll onward

And leave the past behind,

That much I have counted sorrow                                                                                                                          But proves our God is kind;

That many a flower I longed for

Had a hidden thorn of pain,

And many a rugged by-path

Led to fields of ripened grain.

Worship

WORSHIP

Today I went to worship,

on the old woods road,

and to enjoy His creation,

it’s beauty to behold.

As I drove slowly,

on my old A.T.V.,

what wonders of beauty,

my wandering eyes did see.

The evergreens,

their forty shades of green,

the black birds and lady slippers,

beside that old beaver pond,

made my eyes wander,

to the hills and beyond.

Then my mind thought,

of the words,

in Psalms 121;

Look unto the hills,

where thy help comes from.
