Hi and welcome to our brief study on what the Bible states about Atonement. Yesterday we looked at Atonement Explained, today we see what it states about Atonement For- ordained and foretold. Romans 3:25; 1 Peter 1:11,20; Rev.13:8.8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Rom.3:25–25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Atonement foretold– Isaiah 53:4-6–
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. [ Isaiah 53:8-12; Dan.9:24-27; Zec.13:1,7; John 11:50-51 ]. John 11:50-51–
