Good morning my dear friends! Today we are looking at verses about Christ’s effect on atonement. Our atonement was by Christ alone! John 1:29,36; Acts 4:10,12; 1 Thess.1:10; 1 Timothy 2:5-6:
5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Hebrews 2:9–9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 1 Peter 2:24–24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. This atonement was voluntary! Psalms 40:6-8; Hebrews 10:5-9; John 10:11,15,17-18. Psalm 40:6-8–
6Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
John 10: 11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
