Angels [ continued ]

Angels ministered to Christ.  Matt.4:11; Luke 22:43; John 1:51. Luke 22:43And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.  Matt.4:11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Angels are subject to Christ.  Eph.1:21; Col. 1:16; Col.2:10; 1 Peter 3:22.

Col.1:16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  Col.2:10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 1 Peter 3:22Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Angels shall execute the purposes of Christ.  Matt.13:41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;  Matt.24:31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Angels shall attend Christ when He returns.  Matt.16:27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.   Matt.25:31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  Mark.8:38Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.  2 Thess. 1:7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,     [ to be continued ]

Angels

Angels announced:The resurrection of Christ!  Matt.28:5-7; Luke 24:23. Matt.28:5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

The ascension and second coming of Christ!  Acts 1:10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.  The conception of John the Baptist! Luke 1:13,36.13But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.36And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.   [ to be continued ]

Nothing But The Blood

Some folks seem to be offended by singing about the blood and want hymns that sing about the blood of Christ removed. Hymns like, ” Redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb”; There is power in the blood”; ” Alas! And did my Savior bleed”; ” Saved by the blood of the Crucified One”; ” When I see the blood”; ” My faith has found a resting place”, and many others. Dear folk, if we remove the blood, we remove the gospel; If we remove the blood, we remove our hope; If we remove the blood, we remove the Savior. We remove His love, His grace and His salvation. Without the shedding of the blood of Jesus, we have no hope of salvation and no hope of Heaven. With out the shedding of the blood of Jesus we have no remission of sins and no hope for mankind. Jesus said, ” I am the way, the truth and the life, and no man cometh to the Father but by me.” The shedding of the blood of Jesus purchased our ticket to Heaven! ~ Winston Staples

Rev. 7:11, 12.  Rev.5:11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.   The law given by the ministration of angels.. Psa. 68:17. Acts 7:53. Heb. 2:2.  Heb.2:2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;   Angels announced the following events:  The conception of Christ. Mat. 1:20, 21. Luke 1:31.  Matt.1:20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  The birth of Christ. Luke 2:10-12. Luke 2: 10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.     12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  [ to be continued ]

Wonderful Thoughts

I awoke this morning,

this song was on my mind,

His eye is on the sparrow’

and I know He watches me.

What an awesome and caring God,

He loves all His creation,

even little old me.

I am looking forward,

to that day,

when I shall see,

the wonderful face of Jesus,

saying, welcome to heaven,

to me.

Angels

Hi Friends! Today we are looking at 3 more characteristics of Angels according to the Scriptures.  Daniel 8:16,17; 9:21-23; 10:11; 12:6-7; Matt. 2:13,19-20; Luke 1:19,28; Acts 5:20;8:26; 10:5; 27:23; Rev.1:1.  Luke 1:28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Daniel 8:16-17 16And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

17So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.   Matt.2:13,19-20–13And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

19But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

20Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.  Re.1:1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Angels deliver messages from God to man!    Psalms 103:20; Matt.6:10– Psalms 103:20Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.   Matt. 6:10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Angels obey the will of God! Ex sept for those that rebelled with Satan and followed him.     Numbers 22:22; Psalms 103:21; Matt.13:39-42; Matt. 28:2; John 5:4; Rev.5:2. Num.22:22And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.  John 5:4For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.   Rev.5:2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?  Angels execute the purposes of God!     [ to be continued ]

Angels

Angels are pictured or painted as beautiful beings with majestic wings, usually a female like being. What does the Bible say about these beings? In the next few days we are going on a voyage through the Scriptures to see what the creator has to say about angels. So come along on this voyage with me!  Neh.9:6; Col.1:16. Neh.9:6 You alone are the LORD;
You have made heaven,
The heaven of heavens, with all their host,
The earth and everything on it,
The seas and all that is in them,
And You preserve them all.
The host of heaven worships You.

Col.1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. These beings were created by God and Christ!    Neh.9:6; Phil. 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:6. Phil.2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and thatevery tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.   Hebrews 1:6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says:

“ Let all the angels of God worship Him.   Angels worship God and Christ!

1 Kings 19:5; Psalms68:17; 104:4; Luke 16:22; Acts 12:7-11; Acts27:23; Hebrews 1:6,7. Psalms 104:4 Who makes His angels spirits,
His ministers a flame of fire.   Acts 12:7 Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” 9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
11 And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”   Angels are ministering spirits!  [ to be continued ]

Entering into the Presence of God

Today my friends, we are continuing our look at what the Bible says about coming into the presence of God. Psalms 15:1; 27:4; 43:3; 65:4.  PSALMS 15: 1Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? 27:4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.  psalms 65:4Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.  We find God’s presence in His Holy Temple.  The following verses tell us it is a privilege to enter into His presence. Deut.4:7; Psalms 23:6; 24:3-4. Psalms 24:3Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Deut.4:7For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?  Psalms 23:6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. The Bible tells us that we can enter His Presence with confidence and boldness. Eph.3:12; Hebrews 4:6; 10:19,22. Eph.3:12In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.  Hebrews 4:16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.  10:19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Hebrews 10: 22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. This concludes our brief look on what the Bible says about entering the presence of God; I trust you have been blessed my friends!

Entering God’s presence

Hi my friends! We continue our look into the Holy pages today about our access into the presence of God. We can obtain a relationship with God through His Son Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit by faith.  [ Acts14:27; Romans 5:2; Eph. 3:12; Hebrews 11:6.

Acts 14: 27And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.  Eph.3:12In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.   Hebrews 11:6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  Our access followers our reconciliation with God.   Col.1: 21And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

22In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:   We have access by prayer.  [ Deut.4:7; Matt.6:6; 1 Peter 1:17 ]   Matt.6: 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.  1 Peter 1: 17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Into The Presence of God

How can one have fellowship with God, after that fellowship was broken by the sin of the first man Adam? What does the Bible say on this subject? Let’s open it’s pages and see! Psalms 65:4.4Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. God provides a way!  Romans 5:2; Eph. 2:13; 3:12; Hebrews 7:25; 10:19; 1 Peter 3:18.

1 Peter 3:18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: Heb.10:19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Romans 5: 1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  We have access into His presence through His Son Jesus!    Eph.2: 18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. [ to be continued ]
