Hi! Today we are looking at a few more reasons God is worthy of praise according to the Scriptures:
1 Chronicles 16:25
King James Version (KJV) 25For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
King James Version (KJV) 3Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. WE PRAISE HIM FOR HIS GREATNESS! Psalms 21:13Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. WE PRAISE HIM FOR HIS POWER! Isaiah 25:1O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. WE CAN PRAISE HIM BECAUSE OF HIS FAITHFULNESS AN TRUTH!
WE praise God for his great blessings all about us and for who He is, was and ever will be, the beginning and the end. Let’s look at a couple of reasons why He deserves our praise according to the Scriptures.
Exodus 15: James Version (KJV)11Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
Isaiah 6:3 James Version (KJV) 3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. We praise Him because He is the Holiest!
Daniel 2:20 King James Version (KJV)20Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
Jude 1:25 King James Version (KJV)25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. We praise Him for His wisdom, glory and power that endures forever!
God is worthy of our praise because of:
Psalm 961O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Psalm 96:66Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Isa.24:14They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
His Glory!—Psa.138:14They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
Ezekiel 3:1212Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

The other day, I went for a drive with my wife into the city, and on our way we saw a big doe lying dead on the side of the road and off in the field stood two young deer looking back for mamma, o what a pity. Yes, by the striking of a car, this happy family became sad and as I viewed these orphans the tears came to my eyes as I imagined these orphans cries. There are so many sad stories about orphans and their need to find good homes. One day we were orphans lost in sin without a home, then God, our heavenly Father through His grace and great love sent to us His Son from above to bare our sins on that old tree and from orphans to set us free. Oh, what a gift for you and me!
Hi my friends, as I sit looking out my window at the new fall of snow and the baby blue sky I am thankful to the one who is worthy of that thanks and praise. In the next little while on this blog we will see what God’s word says about praise.
2 Samuel 22:4
King James Version (KJV) 4I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. THE LORD IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE!
King James Version (KJV) 23Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
King James Version (KJV) 23Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. PRAISE GLORIFIES GOD!
King James Version (KJV) 15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. WE CAN ENTER THE COURTS OF HIS PRAISE THROUGH CHRIST!
In the church sometimes in our service we want some of the glory and not give God all the glory. I am sharing the following Scripture verses and a few words from a great hymn that tell us ” To God be the Glory!” Eph 3:20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. 1 Peter 5: 10But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. ” Thanksgiving, and glory, and worship, and blessing, and love, one heart and one song have the saints upon earth and above, O Lord, evermore to thy servants thy presence be nigh; ever fit our service on earth for our service on high.” taken from the hymn ” Glory to Glory Advancing”.
Hi my friends! Today we are looking at more teaching about the church as recorded in the Bible. Romans 7:4-6; Ephesians 5:24 tell us that this great body of believers is subject to Christ; He is to be given all honor and all glory for the work He has done. Ephesians 3:10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.
Colossians 3: 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. We the church should continually be in the attitude of prayer and praise, letting our little lights shine so people can see the glorious light of Jesus!
Hi friends! The last post we started looking into God’s word to see what He , through other writers tells us about His Church. Let us continue that study by opening your Bibles to the following verses. Ephesians 1:19-23; 5:23. These verses tells us that Christ is the head of the church and that He loves the church! Now let us turn to Acts 20:28 and Hebrews 9: 11-14 . These verses say that the church was purchased by the blood of Christ! 1 Cor.6: 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. Ephesians 5: 25-27. The church is sanctified and cleansed by Christ! [ to be continued ] until then be blessed!
What does the Bible say about the Church. In the next few blogs we are going to look into the Scriptures to see some things it tells us about the assembling of believers, the church.
1 Timothy 3:15But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. The church belongs to the living God and is the pillar and ground of the truth! Eph.1:23; Col.1:24. Col.1:24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church: The church is the body of Christ! 1 Cor.3:11; Eph.2:20; 1 Peter 2:4-5. 1Peter 2:4To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. The church is built upon the foundation of Christ! [ to be continued ]
In the following verses of scripture we are told that the power in the blood of the Lamb provides: Eph.2:13-16— Reconciliation. Romans 3:24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; These verses tell us His blood gives Redemption. Romans 5:9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. We are Justified. [ made righteous before God ] Hebrews 10:29 states that we are being Sanctified [ set apart ]. Matt.26:26-29 tells that we have Communion with Him through His blood. Rev.12:11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. We have Victory! John 6:53-56 tells that through the blood we have the most precious gift ever given, the gift of Eternal life! Yes there is power in the blood!
