Made Righteous!

The Bible tells us that we are made righteous when we believe the following:

1/ Romans 5:9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.    We are made righteous or justified before God by the blood of Christ!

2/ Isa.61:10I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Romans 3:22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: Romans 5:18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  2 Cor.5:21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  We are made righteous before God by the righteous of Christ!

3/ Romans 4:25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. 2 Cor.5:

17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  We are made righteous by the resurrection of Christ!

Justified by Faith!

The following verses tell us that we are justified by faith in Christ:

John 5:Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Note the words hearing and believing that is faith!

Acts 13:39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Romans 3:30Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Romans 5:1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Galatians 2:16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

It is through our faith in Christ that we stand righteous before God!

GOOD NEWS OF JUSTIFICATION [ continued ]

Under the law or the Old Covenant, justification required perfect obedience.

compare the following Scripture verses: Lev.18:5Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD. with Rom.10:5For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. Rom.2:13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. and James 2:10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

What does the Bible say about justification under the Gospel?

Justification is not of works! — Acts 13:39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.   Rom.8:3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: Gal. 2:16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Gal.3:11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.        [ to be continued ]

The Good News of Justification!

168214_489156046043_612176043_6589453_3621087_n

A/  Justification is promised of Christ!— Isaiah 45:25In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.  53:11He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

B/ Justification is the act of God!— Isaiah 50:8He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.   Rom.8:33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

C/ Man on his own can not be justified!– Job 9:2I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?

3If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. 20If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. Job 25:4How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? Psalms 130:3If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? Psalms 143:2And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. Romans 3:20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 9:

30What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.      [ to be continued ]

Redeemed!

We the redeemed should have signs that flash to others that we are among the redeemed, such as:

Zealous of good works.— Ephesians 2:10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  Titus 2:14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.    1 Peter 2:9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;.

We walk safely in holiness.  Isaiah 35:8And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

9No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

We are committed to God.  Psalms 31:5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

We praise God. Psalms 71:23My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.  Psalms 103:4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;        Revelation 5:9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;.

We glorify God.   1Cor. 6:20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.        Amen and Amen!

As I sit here,

gazing out this old woods road,

covered with four feet of snow,

wishing it was gone,

so I could go,

to that old beaver dam,

and where the red pine trees grow.

In those old pine,

I can listen to the crows,

and hear the splash of the beaver’s tail,

as it gives warning,

to the coming of it’s foes.

I can sit on an old log,

and watch the squirrels,

running to and fro,

and relax for a moment,

where the red pine trees grow.

Redeemed!

The Bible tells us that those who have been redeemed are:

1/ We are the property of God! Isaiah 43:1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

1 Cor.6:20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

2/ We are first fruits unto God! Revelation 14:4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

3/ We are a peculiar people!  Tutus 2:14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 Peter 2:9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

4/ We have assurance! Job 19:25For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Psalm 31:5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

5/ We are sealed! Ephesians 4:30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.                                                     [ to be continued ]

Redemption O how precious and sweet a gift, the gift of eternity with Jesus and our redeemed loved ones, the children of God! The Bible describes redemption as:

a/ Precious—– Psalm 49:6They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

7None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

8(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)

b/ Plenteous— Psalm 130:6My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

7Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

c/ eternal—- Hebrews 9:10Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
