The Heart

Love-Heart-1

We have been looking at some things the Bible states about the heart of mankind and we will look at a few more today.

* James 4:8Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. We need a pure heart in order to enter the presence of God and the only way we can have our heart pure is to be saved by the blood of the Lamb.

* Eph.6:5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

Col. 3:22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;  We are to only have one master of the heart and that is the creator of the heart God Himself!

* Eph. 4:32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. We should be tender heart-ed not hard  heart-ed, we should be forgiving and not judgmental.

* Proverbs 4:23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. We must strive and keep on keeping on keeping our heart in tune with Jesus!

The Heart

Love-Heart-1
Today I will be sharing words about how the heart should be as recorded in the Bible.
The heart should be:
* PREPARED UNTO GOD—– 1 Samuel 7:3And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
* GIVEN TO GOD—- Proverbs 23:26My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
* PERFECT WITH GOD—- 1 Kings 8:61Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
* APPLIED UNTO WISDOM—- PSALMS 90:12So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Proverbs 2:2So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

Love-Heart-1
The Heart is a many splendor thing and God looks  upon the heart! In the previous post we looked at how God treats the heart; we are going to continue that in this post. 1 Chronicles 29:18O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: Psalm 16:1Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. God prepares the heart, as a farmer prepares his fields for the seed to be planted and grow. We read in Acts 16:14And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. Here God opens the heart to receive good news and we can share this with others to bless them. 2 Cor. 4:6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Eph. 1:18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, God opens our hearts so we can be enlightened to His teachings. Psalms27:14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. God wants us to wait upon Him and listen to Him so He can strengthen the heart. Psalms 112:8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. 1 Thess. 3:13To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. God makes the heart stable and stedfast when we nplace our hearts in His hands.

Love-Heart-1  THE HEART

Proverbs 4:23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

God tells us that the issues of life come from the heart, the center and life of our being.

GOD’S  RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HEART

1/ 1 Chron. 29:17I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

Jer. 12:3But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

God tries and tests our heart.

2/Psalm 44:21Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Jer.20:12But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

God knows our heart!

3/ 1Chron. 28:9And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Jer. 17: 10I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

He searches the heart, every little nook and cranny.

4/ 1 Chron.28:9; Psalm139:2.

Psalm 139:2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

God understands the thoughts of the heart!

5/ Proverbs 21:2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

Proverbs 24:12If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

God ponders or considers carefully the heart!

6/ Psalm 51:10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Ezek. 36:26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

God creates a new heart, when we let Him have it!

My View of Psalms Two [ Part 1 ]

When I read this Psalm I notice, that the world today is the same as it was back in David’s day. The heathens rage and ramp and have managed to take God out of most things that need Him to flourish. Today we are going to look at verses 1-4.

Psalm 2

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.   We ask the question like David, Why do men think they can over throw God and His ways, when they know that He has power over heaven and earth.

Luke 19:

Luke 19:14

King James Version (KJV)14But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.    God sent His only Son to redeem them and they wanted no part of Him.  The same attitude toward Christ is true today, they say yes to evil and no to Jesus, the only one that can take them to Heaven.

Gods reaction to their ways is noted in verse four: He laughs at their foolishness! Psalms37:13The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. No matter how strong men and nations with all their power can not stand up to the power and overthrow the Almighty God. I don’t understand why men reject Christ, He wants to save them because He loves them!

Touch of The Masters Hand

I was sitting looking out my window, thinking about the days back when, when I was a licensed mechanic. I would watch some new person trying to force something into place, patience growing thin they would grab a big hammer and drive that part home, usually causing damage. Sometimes before the big hammer they would seek the advice of the master mechanic and he would slip that part in with the touch of the masters hand. Life is like that we get impatient and try to do things our way, sometimes hurting those around us when all we need is to seek the touch of the Masters hand.

Jesus Lives!

He is alive! He is alive!

Come worship the King.

He is alive! He is alive!

All nature does sing.

He is alive! He is alive!

Let new life begin,

Open your heart,

invite Jesus in.

He is alive! He is alive!

Come glorify our King.

He is alive! He is alive!

Let our hearts rejoice,

And His praise joyfully sing.
