If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself alone. A man should keep his friendships in constant repair. ~Samuel Johnson
Hi! Today opens the moose season here and there is a lot of hunters looking for a moose, so there is a lot of calling for a moose to answer. The last blog, we looked what the Bible said about the call of God, today we will continue.
Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
God’s call is for all mankind to be saved but sad to say this does not happen because all men do not listen to the call of God. Matt.20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
God’s call to man is of:
GRACE— Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, 2 Tim.1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE—Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
SO WE MAY HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRIST– 1 Cor.1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

When I was a young lad, I would go fishing in the brook close to home. After I was gone a short while, it seemed like, my mother would call out loud seeking my health and welfare status and I will never forget her calling me to supper. Like my mother’s call, God also calls us to come to Him; in the next few writings we are going to see what His word tells about His calling nations and people unto Himself.
Isaiah 55:5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of theLord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. Romans 1:Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: God sends His call by CHRIST!
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. God gives the call to come by His HOLY SPIRIT!
Psalms 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: God bids us come by His WONDROUS WORKS!
Jer.35:15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. 2Cor.5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. The SERVANTS OF GOD present the call!
2Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: GOD calls us to come out of the darkness!

When I was young and able to work, one night while working under a truck something dripped and dropped into my eyes, this caused blindness for about two weeks. The same things happen spiritually, things happen and cause us to become blind to the good things of God. How can we see again the truth’s of God? Below are a few Scripture verses about this matter: Isaiah 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.5 Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. Jesus was sent to give light and remove the spiritual blindness of the world to all that would desire to see spiritually again. Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Christ’s followers are to be lights to remove spiritual blindness. I will close this blog on spiritual blindness with this verses Acts 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
In life so many things pass quickly by, as we travel at in a fast pace world, not seeing all the great things, like beautiful sunsets and sunrises and so many more sights; we become blind to what is around us. We started the other day looking at what the Bible says about ” spiritual blindness”,today we are going to open the good book and look at some more verses about ” spiritual blindness”. In the previous writing we learned that this blindness is: We are blind spiritually until we hear God’s word; We are spiritually blind because of our sin; We are spiritually blind because of unbelief.
2 Corinthians 4:4English Standard Version (ESV)
4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. The god of this world, Satan, has blinded our eyes.
Ephesians 4:17-19English Standard Version (ESV)
The New Life
17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous andhave given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. Spiritual blindness leads us into evil doings.
Matthew 23:19,26. 19/ You blind men! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.
The self – righteous are spiritually blind t the spiritual truth.
What can we do about this blindness? We can pray!
English Standard Version (ESV)
3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;
light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
English Standard Version (ESV)
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.
HAND IN HAND
Hand in hand with Jesus,
walking down life’s road,
sharing every burden,
sharing every load.
Hand in hand with Jesus,
passing life’s test,
enjoying His fellowship,
being richly blessed.
Hand in hand with Jesus,
He will safely lead,
soothing every heartache,
meeting every need.
Hand in hand with Jesus,
through death’s door we will safely go,
to stand around God’s throne,
no greater happiness will ever be known.
My mother was blind and could not see the things around her but she was not spiritually blind. She saw that God loved her and she loved Him. What does the Bible say about spiritual blindness?
1 Cor.2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. We are spiritually blind until we hear God’s word and except the truth of it.
Isaiah 29:10 (KJV
10 For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep,
And hath closed your eyes:
The prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
Amplified Bible (AMP)
19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.
20 For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved. Because of SIN we are spiritually blind.
Romans 11:8 (KJV
8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
2 Corinthians 4:3 (KJV
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: Because of UNBELIEF we are spiritually blind. [ to be continued ]
