The Providence of God Part 1.

a/  Psalms 145:9—— The Lord is good to all,
And His mercies are over all His works. God’s providence is seen in His care over His Creation!

HIS PROVIDENCE IS EXERCISED IN:

1/ Preserving His creatures.  Neh. 9:6— You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.  Psalms 36:6— Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
    your justice like the great deep.
    You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.

2/ Providing for His creatures.  Psalms 104:27-28 —27 All creatures look to you
    to give them their food at the proper time.
28 When you give it to them,
    they gather it up;
when you open your hand,
    they are satisfied with good things.

Psalms 136:25—He gives food to every creature.
His love endures forever.

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

3/ Special preservation of saints.  Psalms 37:

28 For the Lord loves the just
    and will not forsake his faithful ones.

Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed[a];
    the offspring of the wicked will perish.

Psalms 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;

Matthew 10:30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

4/ Prospering saints.  Genesis 24: 48, 56.48 and I bowed down and worshiped the Lord. I praised the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me on the right road to get the granddaughter of my master’s brother for his son.56 But he said to them, “Do not detain me, now that the Lord has granted success to my journey. Send me on my way so I may go to my master.”
