WITHOUT WORDS

I lay here thinking,

words running through my mind,

how silent it would be,

in my mind,

if no words were around.

There would be no knowledge,

no wise words shared,

no one could say I love you,

and tell you they cared.

there would be no books,

and God’s word would not be read,

and we wouldn’t know,

the great things Jesus said.

The Bible states creation,

was by God’s word,

and in it,

we have the wisest words ever heard.

I know now,

what I am tryiny to say,

without words,

what we see around,

would not be here today.

  1. Mary Sayler says:

Praise God for giving us words to communicate for Christ as we write in all genres. I’ll highlight this on the Christian Poets & Writers blog – http://christianpoetsandwriters.blogspot.com. Glad you’re part of our group on Facebook too. 🙂
