Our Strength!

Soaring eagle

Isaiah 40:29-31

New King James Version (NKJV)

29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

    If you look at the verse again, there is something very interesting about this verse. We humans learn to walk first, then we run, then we soar. But in God’s order it is reversed. The Hebrew word for Wait means to bind together, to expect. We first Wait upon the Lord to renew our strength ( Herbrew: vigor or life force) we shall mount up (Hebrew: We shall arise, recover, restore) with wings as eagles, run and not be weary and walk and not faint.
    WAIT upon the Lord!
