FIRST DAY OF SPRING

It is the first day of spring,

You would not think it,

As you look around,

when your eyes get focused,

You see two feet of snow,

lying on the ground.

The snow is falling,

Falling so hard today,

There is no school,

So all the children are home today.

I want to trade some of this snow,

I would even give it away,

For some green grass,

leaves and beautiful flowers,

Bright sunshine to warm the day,

But God knows the big picture,

He sent the snow today,

So let’s bow our hearts,

And lift our hands,

Say thank you Father,

The Clouds

THE CLOUDS
Our lives are like the clouds,
little vapors in the sky,
we hang around awhile,
then we say goodbye.
Our lives are like the clouds,
sometimes all fluffy and white,
some times we have our trials,
like the black clouds at night.
Our lives are like the clouds,
being driven by the wind,
sometimes we are tossed to and fro,
as we fall into sin.
Our lives are like the clouds,
that are controlled by God’s hand,
when we put our trust in Him,
He will guide us across this land.
Our lives are like the clouds,
all beautiful and bright,
floating around the sun,
as it sets at night.
Our lives are like the clouds,
little vapors in the sky,

Peaceful Night

The night is cold,

the night is clear;

I can see so many stars,

twinkling stars from here.

The moon is bright,

and the shadows,

of the trees are everywhere,

the birds are in the evergreens,

finding shelter there.

God’s creation is good,

God’s creation is right,

for this beautiful night.

The Move

Many times,

I have moved in my life,

since I have met my dear wife.

We have moved,

from here to there,

and back again,

each time making friends.

There is a move,

I am waiting for,

to settle there,

and move no more,

to meet my loved ones,

in a place,

with no sorrow, no pain or cares.

Heaven, will be this home,

where we will no longer,

no longer roam.
