THE DRIVE!

Hiking_Trail_1

The doctor,

advised my wife,

to get me out some days

to drive my blues away.

The road was rough,

and rutty you might say,

Like this journey

we call life’s highway,

we find ruts,

we find pot holes,

that Satan our foe

places in our way.

Thank you, Jesus,

our SAVIOR and our KING,

for redeeming our souls,

and making us free,

that is why we can sing

now and for eternity.

Evening Thoughts

The first day of Spring,

There is four feet of snow,

And the Chick-a-dees sing;

The roads are bare,

The trees are too!

The crows caw, caw, caw

Telling that they see you.

I long to see green grass,

And a robin or two,

Singing cheer up, cheer up,

To me and you.

As I look about,

I see the Hand of God

In the plan of things

And one day soon,

I will see,

The Lord of Lords

And King of Kings.

A WRITING!

letter_writing

I WALKED ACROSS THE ROAD TODAY,

TO FILL MY NEIGHBOR’S BIRD FEEDERS

WHILE THEY ARE AWAY.

THE WIND WAS COLD,

THE WIND WAS STRONG

AND IT’S GUSTS HURRIED

THE SNOW ALONG HASTILY

ACROSS THE FIELDS,

FIELDS COVERED WITH SNOW;

TOMORROW IS THE FIRST

DAY OF SPRING,

MAYBE THE SNOW WILL SOON GO.

AS I LOOK AROUND

AT THE WORLD TODAY,

IT IS COMPLETELY IN DISARRAY;

I KNOW NO MATTER

WHAT MAN MAY SAY,

GOD IS AT WORK

AND GOOD IS BEING DONE

IN THE NAME OF,

GOD THE FATHER,

GOD THE SPIRIT,

AND GOD THE SON.

Colossians 3:10-17King James Version (KJV) 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
