I remember the big tree,
standing tall and firm,
in the large field,
across the road from me.
Many a branch has blown,
blown in the wind,
causing a whistling sound,
like the sea shells from the sea.

My old swing, sits beneath, a large old pine; a good place to sit, swing back and forth, my back toward the South, my face toward the North. My old swing is, a great spot to think, a great place to pray, write things down, sometimes in the evening, sometimes at mid-day. My old swing is, a great place to thank God, as I count the blessings, He sends my way. I thank You, for my old swing, where I can meditate, on Your words night and day. ~ Winston Staples
O, path, so narrow, and so steep, many timesup you, I would creep, carrying a pail, large pail of water, on you trail, trail of ice, to slip and fall, would not be nice. In life, there are many, paths one can take
, but two main, paths we face. One wide, travelled by sinful man, whose number is, six, six, six; One narrow, travelled by Saints, onward and upward, to Heaven, to be present, with God, whose number is, seven, seven, seven.
The Path! When a little lad, I remember, a str aight path, over the hill, leading to our spring, where I watched dad, carry a water pail, he just filled. When a little lad, I remember, a winding path, across a large field, leading us to church, to read and pray, for our souls, to be filled. ~ Winston Staples
Some minds are stuck in neutral, some minds are stuck in reverse, some minds full speed ahead, some minds on good things, some minds need to be fed. Some minds think positive, while others seem to dread; My mind is focused on Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who guards His sheep, and keeps them spiritually fed. So keep your mind in forward, looking straight ahead, and He will guide you, onward toward Heaven, there forever to live, never more to dread. ~ Winston Staples
Sitting here, just thinking, how a few years back, a lady in our church fellowship, always wanted to sing, her favorite hymn, "The Old Account". Another favorite, we would sing, "God Leads His Dear Children". Just thinking about the day, I settled my sin account, away back in the fall, in year of 1958. The Holy Spirit, entered my being, and has been leading, me along life's trail, each step a little closer, to seeing my Lord in Heaven. Yes, He leads His dear, children along, because the old account, was settled long ago. ~ Winston Staples
Eternal life the best gift ever given!
I don’t get out,
much anymore,
my legs are weak,
my hips so sore.
I stumble, I fall,
if I don’t,
use two canes,
or hold onto the wall.
I sit and look out,
out the big window
and out the door,
and wish I could,
walk and run,
like I did before.
I still can see,
I still can hear,
and I still can taste
the things God created,
for us to enjoy;
especially His greatest gift,
the gift of eternal life,
through Jesus, His Son,
This one thing is sure,
we can enjoy His creation,
not just now,
but forevermore!
O, what a beautiful morning, the sunshine, drives the clouds away, O, what more can I say. O, what a beautiful afternoon, for lunch, we had turkey soup, so good off the spoon. O, what a beautiful night, the tree silhouettes, stand old so clear, in the moon light.
It is eight fifteen, the sun sets, beautifully in the West, some say, the best part of the day. Five AM, Sun is beginning, beginning to rise, it now, brightens the Eastern skies. Twelve noon, half …

A early day, cool and grey, as we say good bye, to Snoopy, this ninth day of May. We enjoyed, his playful spirit, his big brown eyes, and wagging tail, as he sniffed, everything, along the trail. He got old, he got sick; We had him, ten great years, they passed so quick. Good bye old friend, good bye old pal, you made us happy, to the very end!
