GOD’S REMEDY FOR SIN!

th (8)800-thanksgiving2

WE MUST:

  • Humble yourself—- throw away that old pride!
  • Pray—-God hears a repentant heart!
  • Confess our sins to HIM!
  • Repent—-turn away from the sin!
  • Submit— James 4:7-10 King James Version (KJV)Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

    Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

    10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

  • Claim God’s promises!
  • Live in victory through Christ’s resurrection power!

JUST THINKING!

Just Thinking!
As I was sitting with my eyes closed, my mind wandered back to the cool fall evening in 1958. On that night in a little Baptist church I was convicted by the Holy Spirit that I was lost in sin and needed a Savior. The message that night was if you were to die tonight where would you spend Eternity. I went home and could not sleep, went back to that little Baptist Church the following night waiting for the invitation and walked up the aisle being a new creature by saying yes to Jesus as He called.

A GREAT PSALMS!

Psalm 100 King James Version (KJV)

100 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Whitetails!

cropped-images-4.jpg

I look about,

in fields so green,

to see what can be seen;

I saw Whitetails everywhere.

Driving out,

an old woods road,

the time was dusk,

to see what might be there,

with a crash and abound,

Whitetails were every where.

Like me,

their lively hood,

those Whitetails,

in God they trust.

O, what a place,

place to meditate,

and say a prayer,

in this place,

where Whitetails,

are everywhere.

JOY![ WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS][3]

Joy is seen in the following:

Victory produces joy— 1 Samuel 18:And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick.

Joy was seen in Christ’s birth— Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Joy is seen in the resurrection of Christ— Matthew 28: And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

Joy is seen when a sinner finds salvation in Christ— Luke 15:And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

JOY![ WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS] [2]

Description:

Joy is described as follows:

a/ EVERLASTING—Isaiah 51:Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord;
awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old.
Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
10 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea,
the waters of the great deep;
that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
11 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return,
and come with singing unto Zion;
and everlasting joy shall be upon their head:
they shall obtain gladness and joy;
and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

b/ GREAT—Acts 8:And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.

c/ FULL— 1 John 1:that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

d/ ABUNDANT— 2 Cor.8:1/Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; how that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

e/ UNSPEAKABLE— 1 Peter 1:that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

JOY! What the Bible Says!

KINDS OF JOY    a/ foolish—Proverbs 15:21 Folly is joy to him that is void of [a]wisdom;

But a man of understanding maketh straight his going.

b/ temporary— Matthew 13:20 And he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;

c/ motherly— Psalms 113:He maketh the barren woman to keep house,
And to be a joyful mother of children.
Praise ye Jehovah.

d/ figurative—Isaiah 52:Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem; for Jehovah hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

e/ future— Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful [a]servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 And he also that received the two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: lo, I have gained other two talents. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful [b]servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

THE JUSTICE OF GOD [4]

This the final sharing of Bible verses about the justice of God; I trust you have been blessed from this short study!

*Acknowledge—Psalms 51: 1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Romans 3:For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

*Magnify— Psalms 98:Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Psalms 99:The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

Just Thinking!

Just Thinking!
Some say or maybe most may say that today’s culture is that we stand up for ourselves and demand our rights no matter who is stepped on or over. The teaching of Jesus and writers in the New Testament is that joy comes from humility and sacrificing of ourselves for others.

Matthew 16: 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

1 Cor.10:24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

2 Cor.8:For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Phil.3:Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Philippians 2:Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
