JOY! What the Bible Says!


 

KINDS OF JOY    a/ foolish—Proverbs 15:21 Folly is joy to him that is void of [a]wisdom;

But a man of understanding maketh straight his going.

b/ temporary— Matthew 13:20 And he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;

c/ motherly— Psalms 113:He maketh the barren woman to keep house,
And to be a joyful mother of children.
Praise ye Jehovah.

d/ figurative—Isaiah 52:Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem; for Jehovah hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

e/ future— Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful [a]servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 And he also that received the two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: lo, I have gained other two talents. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful [b]servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
