THIS MORNING!

This morning,

I opened the front door,

I heard something,

I looked into the sky,

a gaggle of Canada geese,

were landing,

in their v formation,

into a large corn field,

whose golden ears,

they will fleece.

The sight and sounds,

are a sure sign,

that Autumn is here;

Such a pretty time,

to see God’s creation,

so colorful, so supreme.

Thank you Father,

for being always around,

watching, the sky, the sea,

and on the ground!

Words to Sing!

letter_writing

Today I am sharing two favorite verses of this old hymn. I love these old hymns, they share the great news in a special way. My favorites are of course those proclaiming the birth of Christ and about His resurrection.

These verses are taken from an old hymn about victory ” Lord of the Living”. Verses three and four say this: May we, when ever tempted to dejection, strongly recapture thoughts of resurrection. You gave us Jesus to defeat our sadness, with Easter gladness.

Lord you can lift us from the grave of sorrow into the presence of your own tomorrow; give to your people for the day’s affliction your benediction.” ~ Frederick Herman Kaan

I trust you will be blessed my friends!  ~ Winston Staples

THANKS!

Thanks Father,

for my eyes that see,

all the precious sights,

You created them to see.

I see the hills,

rolling over there,

the baby blue sky,

and the babbling  brook,

flowing gently by.

I see the clouds,

fluffy and grey,

as they float,

lazily on their way.

I see the birds,

flying to and fro,

into the branches,

all nice and warm,

a shelter,

from the coming storm.

We see Your creation,

it is everywhere,

so let’s bow,

our hearts in prayer,

and say thank you,

for all  you share!
