Topic: Rewards of the Saints continued!

  • The Saint enters into the joy of the Lord!  Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.   Hebrews 12:Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
  •  The Saint enters rest!  Hebrews 4:There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.  Rev.14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

  • Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.   Luke 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.  The Saint has treasure in Heaven!

        but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.

  • The reward satisfies!    Psalms 17:15 As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness;
        when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness.
      [ESV.]

SHARING WORDS OF LIFE!

100_7158 (2)

This morning as I was doing my Bible readings, this chapter in 1 Peter seemed to say share! Here is that chapter and I pray it will speak to you as you read this and bless you.

1 Peter 5 King James Version (KJV)

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.

14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Just Looking!

Just looking,

my eyes focused,

on the trees,

colored trees,

blowing and swaying,

back and forth,

in the North wind,

telling me;

it will soon,

soon snow again.

Just looking,

looking over the hill,

at evergreens and hardwoods,

stately on both it’s sides;

telling me,

I am growing older,

with each tick,

and each tock,

as the hands of time,

quickly slip bye!

  • Saints inherit a Kingdom : Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  Luke 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
  • We inherit a Kingdom shinning as the stars. Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
  • This Kingdom has everlasting light! Isaiah 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
  • The Saints inherit everlasting life.  Luke 18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. Also read Romans 2:7; 6:23; 1 John 5:11.
  • They receive an enduring substance. Hebrews 10:34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
  • They receive a house eternal in the Heavens.  2 Cor.5:1/For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, made an house not e with hands, eternal in the heavens.

    2/For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

  • Saints inherit a city with a sound foundation. Hebrews 11:10/For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

*Saints inherit eternal things.    Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ,who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

*The inheritance is incorruptible.   1 Peter 1:To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

* Being Glorified with Christ! Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.Gal.3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. Phil.3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. 1 Cor.6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
