Patience!

Wint68

In this day of fast foods, fast cars and fast communication we see less patience than any other time in our history. The only place we find a lot of patience is the doctor’s office. Being adopted children of God through the shed blood of His Only Begotten Son; we are to be patient. Patience is listed as a sign of growing in grace. We read in 2 Peter 1: 5-8 “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”. Patience is also included in the fruit of the…

TODAY’S BIBLE VERSE

12

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Soaring!

Wint68

Soon, I will be leaving,

without a jet plane,

flying without wings,

caught up in the air,

to meet the Lord of Lords

and the King of Kings.

Soon, I will be leaving,

without a jet plane,

I know why,

but I don’t know when,

when I return,

I will be in New Jerusalem.

Soon I will be leaving,

without a jet plane,

flying without wings,

to meet in the air,

my Lord of Lords,

and King of Kings!

Longings: Dear soul, do you long for a place of perfect rest? Do you long for a place where the sun never sets? Do you long to be free from toil and stress? Do you long for a place with cloudless skies, no sorrow and no goodbyes? Dear soul, do you long for painless days, and where the roses bloom forever? Do you long for a place with eternal gladness and to give eternal praise? Dear soul, that place is Heaven, with Christ to remain. Dear soul, you need no money or fame, come to Jesus, He will put you on the train! Winston Staples

Sheltered: Through the pines, where soft breezes blow, through the pines, we see traces of snow, through the pines, where birds, build their nests, a doe and her fawn take rest. In His arms, we can safely go, in His arms, we find shelter, from the wild storms that blow; In His arms, we find sweet rest, gather strength, and are richly blessed.

Homesick For Heaven: I am homesick for heaven, I have a deep longing in my soul, to see the blessed face of Jesus, and be made perfectly whole. I’m homesick for heaven, my loved ones to see, to sing praises to God, our Savior, for eternity. I’m homesick for heaven, where those saved by Jesus dwell, through His blood He redeemed them, and saves their souls from hell. I’m homesick for heaven, soon Jesus will take me there, cast on Him, your every care and join Him in heaven, where eternity, we will share. I’m homesick for heaven, I have a deep longing in my soul, to see the blessed face of Jesus, and be made perfectly whole.

Attitudes: Is your attitude a thankful one? Or do you grumble and complain? Is your attitude a serving one? Or when asked to serve, pass to another’s name? Is your attitude a loving one? Or do you put yourself first in life’s game? Is your attitude a prayerful one? Or do you seldom call upon God’s name? Is your attitude one of sharing? Or do you show, very little caring? These negative attitudes are not God’s plan, they are the attitudes of selfish man.

EXPLORING GOD’S WORD 71 [lesson 7]

100_7159 (1)

Topic: REWARDS OF THE SAINT’S 2 John 1:Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.   We must walk the walk and talk the talk of a follower of Christ that we will not lose a reward.

* Prospect of our receiving a reward should lead us to do the following:

  • Be diligent—–[ 2 John 1:8 ]
  • To press forward —– Phil. 3:14 I [press toward the mark ]for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
  • To endure suffering —– 2 Cor. 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. [ also read Hebrews 11:26 ].
  •  To be faithful unto death —– Rev.2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.[ to be continued ]
