THE HEART!

Love-Heart-1THE HEART

Proverbs 4:23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

God tells us that the issues of life come from the heart, the center and life of our being.

GOD’S  RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HEART

1/ 1 Chron. 29:17I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

Jer. 12:3But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

God tries and tests our heart.

2/Psalm 44:21Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Jer.20:12But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

God knows our heart!

3/ 1Chron. 28:9And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Jer. 17: 10I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

He searches the heart, every little nook and cranny.

4/ 1 Chron.28:9; Psalm139:2.

Psalm 139:2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

God understands the thoughts of the heart!

5/ Proverbs 21:2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

Proverbs 24:12If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

God ponders or considers carefully the heart!

6/ Psalm 51:10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Ezek. 36:26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

God creates a new heart, when we let Him have it!

A FAVORITE PSALMS!

Psalm 121 King James Version (KJV)
121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Heaven on My Mind!

Wint68

Heaven on my mind: In the last few weeks, two of my dear sisters in the Lord have passed from this life and entered into the glory of Heaven. I have looked at the following scriptures and my dear friends will not find these things there:
Death. Luke 20:36
King James Version (KJV)36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
Flesh and blood —- 1 Cor.15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Nothing will perish — 1Cor.15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 50/ Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

UNITY WITH CHRIST!

100_7159 (1)

I love the song, ” I ‘m just an old sinner saved by grace” but an old sinner saved by the grace of God becomes a Saint, and as saints we have union with Christ by: 1/ In our mind— 1 Cor.2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have [[the mind of Christ.] Phil.2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
2/ in spirit— 1Cor.6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
3/ in love— Song of Sol. 2:16 My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies. 7:10 I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me.
4/ in suffering— Phil.3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 2Tim.2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
5/ in death— Romans 6:3-8 and Gal.2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
6/ in assurance— John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
7/ in the Lord’s supper— 1 Cor.10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
8/ complete in Christ— Col.2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
9/ exhorted to maintain unity— John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Acts 11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. Col.2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving

UNION WITH CHRIST

Wint68

UNION WITH CHRIST
• As the head of the Church—- Eph. 1: 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to behead over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.Eph.4: 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Col.1: 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
• It was Christ’s prayer that all Saints should have unity.— John 17: 21 that they…

Rays of Hope

Wint68

It is late October,

The Sky is cloudy and gray,

A drizzle is falling,

Oh! what a dreary day!

The leaves are all about gone,

and a flock of crows,

are cawing on the hill beyond.

All of a sudden,

I see,

A patch of blue sky,

And the sun,

Comes shinning through,

Oh, What a little ray of sunshine can do!

In this life,

As we are passing through,

The cloudy days seem,

More than a few,

Then one day,

The Son shine of God’s love,

Comes shinning through,

Bringing us hope of Heaven,

When our weary days are through.

My Observations [ Peace continued ]

Wint68

Peace according to the Scriptures:

As Saints we should:    Zech.8:19— love the truth and peace of the Lord.

Psalm 34:14; 1 Peter 3:11———— seek and pursue peace.

2 Tim.2:22———–  follow peace with a pure heart.

Romans 14:19——- follow the things that make peace and edify [ lift up ] others.

Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding.  Ralph Waldo Emerson

A Beautiful Morning

Wint68

Oh, what a beautiful morning,

Oh, what a lovely day,

God has sent the sunshine,

to drive the darkness away.

Oh, what a beautiful morning,

Oh, what a lovely day,

God sent His Son,

our sin debt to pay.

Oh, what a beautiful morning,

Oh, what a lovely day,

Because of God’s salvation,

we can sing,

and be happy today.
