JUST THINKING

I am sitting gazing out my study window at the sunny baby blue sky with a few fluffy clouds floating bye. Yesterday at this hour it was pouring rain and a cool wind starting to blow out of the west parting those clouds. One day soon I think our Saviour and Bride groom will appear in those clouds and shout ” come home my bride, come home!” But until then let’s keep waiting and watching the clouds and read our Bible and Pray everyday and He will come at the exact moment and take us up in those clouds to be with Him forevermore. Amen!

Orphans

Wint68

The other day, I went for a drive with my wife into the city, and on our way we saw a big doe lying dead on the side of the road and off in the field stood two young deer looking back for  mamma, o what a pity. Yes, by the striking of a car, this happy family became sad and as I viewed these orphans  the tears came to my eyes as I imagined these orphans cries. There are so many sad stories about orphans and their need to find good homes. One day we were orphans lost in sin without a home, then God, our heavenly Father through His grace and great love sent to us His Son from above to bare our sins on that old tree and from orphans to set us free. Oh, what a gift for you and me!

To God be the Glory!

Wint68

In the church sometimes in our service we want some of the glory and not give God all the glory. I am sharing the following Scripture verses and a few words from a great hymn that tell us ” To God be the Glory!”   Eph 3:20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.  1 Peter 5: 10But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  11To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.        ” Thanksgiving, and glory, and worship…

The Church

Wint68

What does the Bible say about the Church. In the next few blogs we are going to look into the Scriptures to see some things it tells us about the assembling of believers, the church.

1 Timothy 3:15But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.  The church belongs to the living God and is the pillar and ground of the truth!    Eph.1:23; Col.1:24. Col.1:24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:   The church is the body of Christ!  1 Cor.3:11; Eph.2:20; 1 Peter 2:4-5.  1Peter 2:4To whom coming, as…

Precious Blood

Wint68

Blood is our life; our blood our human life and the blood of Jesus our spiritual life. What does the Word of God say about the blood of Christ? According to the Bible the blood of Christ is described as: Innocent— Matt.27:1When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: 2And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. 3Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. 5And he cast down the pieces of silver in…

Life’s Race

Wint68

Life’s race is like a marathon,

Run in years,

Instead of miles,

Some days bring heartaches,

And others bring smiles.

Some days the body is spry,

While others it pains,

And one wants to cry.

Some days are filled with sunshine,

And others filled with rain.

Each day is a challenge,

And a race to be run,

From day break,

To the setting of the sun.

In our spiritual life,

Life’s race is to be run,

Either following Satan,

Or God’s only Son.

Satan races us toward destruction;

Jesus leads us to Heaven,

Eternal life for everyone.

So let us run with Jesus,

Over life’s rocky track,

Looking toward the finish line,

And never looking back.

When life’s race is over,

Heaven will be our prize,

A land without sorrow,

And cloudy skies.

MORE ABOUT JESUS 5

More About Jesus 5!
More about Jesus would I know, more about Jesus to others show, more about Jesus to my life apply and sing His praise as the days go by. Today let’s look at a few more Bible verse telling us about Jesus.
1 Timothy 1:16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Isaiah 40:11He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. Luke 19:41And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, here we see in these two verses a man of compassion, and as His followers should not we be compassionate?
Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the peopl.24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. Acts 10:38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Again as followers of Jesus we should do deeds with love and kindness as Jesus showed to others as recorded in these verses!
Today we are looking at a couple of Scripture verses from the book of Luke about Jesus.Luke 2: 51And he went down with them, and came toNazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Jesus was obedient to His parents. Something we need today is for our children to be obedient . Luke 22:42. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Jesus sought His Fathers will always!Luke 23: 39-43 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.43And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. Jesus is forgiving and offers Salvation and a home with Him paradise to all who call upon His name. More about Jesus would I know, more about Jesus to others show, more about Jesus, more about Jesus.

JUST THINKING!

JUST THINKING!
The time was midnight,
the seventeenth day of December,
when I was born in 1941;
Born to a Godly father and mother,
who already had one son.
My younger brother was born,
on a cold January morn 1944.
Our parents, loved their three sons,
quiet in manner all three;
We walked two miles or so,
to a little Baptist Church,
as often as We could go.
There we learned about Jesus,
God’s only begotten Son,
and about God’s Grace;
How He wants to save sinners,
those who call upon His name.
One Evening in 1958,
I heard a messagethat stirred my soul,
” If you died toninght,
where would you go?
A tormenting Hell or a perfecf Heaven!
I decided to follow Jesus,
way back then,
and I am still following HIm;
Marching with Onward Christian Soldiers,
made of young and old women and men.
I think of Him evveryday,
how He died and rose again,
and how He finished His plan,
by shedding His blood on an old Rugged Cross,
on that place called Mount Calvary!
He still sets sinners free,
when they accept HIs Salvation plan,
and call upon His Holy name.
I pray that others,
yes, others will follow Jesus,
just like me, so they can have a home,
a beautiful home in Heaven,
painless and free.
Yes, Jesus is the only way,
He is the perfect truth and Eternal Life,
and He gives this life for Eternity!

HOW TO PRAY!

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
