I sit here,

on my little chair,

thinking about little things,

little things everywhere.

I have a little cup of coffee,

a little piece of toast,

a little thing I love most.

I bow my little knees,

and say a little prayer,

thanking God for creating,

creating the great little things,

little things everywhere.

We are living in a world of unrest and disputes, many of which, has to be settled using a mediator, one who has the  interest of both parties and seeks to help settle the dispute. The same is true in our relationship with God. Satan is always bringing accusations about us before God but we have Christ, who intercedes on our behalf. Here are a few Scriptures about Christ our Mediator.

Eph.2: 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Christ Our Peace

14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Hebrews 9:15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrews 12:24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.  CHRIST  IS OUR MEDIATOR ON THE VIRTUE OF HIS ATONEMENT!

1 Timothy 2:5

New King James Version (NKJV)

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

Hebrews 8:6

New King James Version (NKJV)

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

Hebrews 12:24

New King James Version (NKJV)

24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.  CHRIST IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN BRIDGE THE SIN GAP BETWEEN GOD AND MAN!

Hi friends! The last post we started looking into God’s word to see what He , through other writers tells us about His Church. Let us continue that study by opening your Bibles to the following verses. Ephesians 1:19-23; 5:23. These verses tells us that Christ is the head of the church and that He loves the church! Now let us turn to Acts 20:28 and Hebrews 9: 11-14 . These verses say that the church was purchased by the blood of Christ! 1 Cor.6: 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. Ephesians 5: 25-27. The church is sanctified and cleansed by Christ!
Romans 7:4-6; Ephesians 5:24 tell us that this great body of believers is subject to Christ; He is to be given all honor and all glory for the work He has done. Ephesians 3:10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.
Colossians 3: 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. We the church should continually be in the attitude of prayer and praise, letting our little lights shine so people can see the glorious light of Jesus!

The Trail

The other day I went out back in the hard woods and there were deer trails coming and going in all directions. There seemed to be more traffic on one, I think this one led to and fro from their bedding area to their food and drinking area and the others were trails of wandering back and forth. This reminds me of how it is with us humans, we have more trails and time spend in wondering. We are wandering souls searching for something to fill our needs physically and neglect our soul; we need to spend more time travelling on the trail that leads us into God’s word to obtain spiritual food and drink, so lets have a main trail that is evident for others to see.

The Church

What does the Bible say about the Church. In the next few blogs we are going to look into the Scriptures to see some things it tells us about the assembling of believers, the church.

1 Timothy 3:15But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.  The church belongs to the living God and is the pillar and ground of the truth!    Eph.1:23; Col.1:24. Col.1:24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:   The church is the body of Christ!  1 Cor.3:11; Eph.2:20; 1 Peter 2:4-5.  1Peter 2:4To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.   The church is built upon the foundation of Christ!      [ to be continued ]

In Hebrews 9: i3-14 we read that His blood is sufficient to atone for our sin.
13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? This sacrifice is final and covers all our sins! Hebrews 9:24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
1 John 1: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. As tide cleans our dirty stained clothes, it takes the precious blood of Jesus to clean us and wash our souls and spirits white as snow. Rev. 12:11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. The blood of the Lamb is conquering over sin and spiritual death. There is power in the blood of the Lamb.
In the following verses of scripture we are told that the power in the blood of the Lamb provides: Eph.2:13-16— Reconciliation. Romans 3:24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; These verses tell us His blood gives Redemption. Romans 5:9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. We are Justified. [ made righteous before God ] Hebrews 10:29 states that we are being Sanctified [ set apart ]. Matt.26:26-29 tells that we have Communion with Him through His blood. Rev.12:11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. We have Victory! John 6:53-56 tells that through the blood we have the most precious gift ever given, the gift of Eternal life! Yes there is power in the blood!

Creations Beauty

Sitting looking out my window pane, everything’s so beautiful and green, being washed and refreshed by the falling rain. A woodpecker is tapping on a dead pine, tap, tap, tap, what a hammering sound; a chipmunk, carrying a piece of bread, scurries across the ground. Yes, as I look out, all nature is alive! Leaves so green, flowers so pretty in blossom everywhere; tells me we have a creator, who really cares. He not only cares for our physical being, and because of His love, He wants our soul to be free, and all His spiritual blessings seeing. Yes, He wants to set us free, from our bondage of sin; He sent Jesus, His only Son, and by His sacrifice, complete victory could be won.

It’s late October, the big bucks are on the run;

they have the scent of doe, the rut has begun.

It’s very early in the morn,

the frost still lies heavy on the corn.

My heart is quickly beating, the bow season has finally come;

I have packed all my gear, my planning complete,

now I carefully walk to my tree stand and take my seat.

I have did all I can to cover my scent,

now to patiently wait until my bow can be bent.

Our hunt for this worthy prize, happens once a year,

we are also a foe, who are daily stalked and hunted,

like that trophy white tailed deer.

While walking down life’s trail,

our adversary, the devil lies in wait,

he uses every deception, every lie,

to keep us from entering God’s Heavenly gate.

Dear friend, let us give God our lives,

so His armor we can safely wear;

and by His Spirit, help us detect Satan’s snare,

and when Satan shoots those fiery darts,

we will have God’s word to protect our minds, souls and hearts.
