Christmas!

CHRISTMAS: It’s Christmas, it’s Christmas, let our hearts joyfully sing, God sent His Son to earth, His gift of salvation to bring, as a babe in a manger, not as a mighty king. Christmas is not Santa Clause, or tinsel hanging on a tree, Christmas is the gift of God’s Son, salvation for you and me. Christmas is not Frosty the snowman, or Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, It’s the celebration of Jesus birthday, the beginning of God’s salvation plan. It’s Christmas, it’s Christmas, let our hearts joyfully sing, those good old Christmas carols, proclaiming the birth of Jesus, they so joyfully bring. ~Winston Staples

GOD’S GRACE {2}

The Scriptures tell us Grace came by Christ!

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:15,17

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Grace is given by Christ: 1Cor.1: 4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

Grace foretold by prophets: 1 Peter 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Ephesians 2:7-8 King James Version

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Glory of Grace shown in our acceptance in Christ:

Ephesians 1: 6 King James Version

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Grace Described as:

*Great—– Acts 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

*Sovereign—–Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

*Rich——Ephesians 1:7 King James Version

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 2:7 King James Version

GOD’S GRACE [ 1 ]

GOD’S GRACE

I was thinking about the GRACE of God and thought it would be a good study to see what the Bible tells us about God’s Grace.[ I am using my KJV Bible.]

*God is the God of all Grace 1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

*God is the giver of grace Psalm 84:11 KJV. For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

*God’s Throne is the Throne of Grace Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

*The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace Zech 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

*Grace was upon Christ Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

*Christ Spake with Grace Psalm 45:2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Luke 4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?

*Christ was full of Grace John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. [to be continued]

Colossians 1:10-17King James Version

10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Colossians 3:10-17King James Version

10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing…

THE GOSPEL MESSAGE!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4King James Version

15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
