Psalm 145King James Version

145I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

2Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

3Great is theLord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

4One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

5I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

6And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.

7They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

8TheLordis gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

9TheLordis good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

Worship

WORSHIP

Today I went to worship,

on the old woods road,

and to enjoy His creation,

it’s beauty to behold.

As I drove slowly,

on my old A.T.V.,

what wonders of beauty,

my wandering eyes did see.

The evergreens,

their forty shades of green,

the black birds and lady slippers,

beside that old beaver pond,

made my eyes wander,

to the hills and beyond.

Then my mind thought,

of the words,

in Psalms 121;

Look unto the hills,

where thy help comes from.

Awake

AWAKE!

Awake, my mind awake! Meditate on God;

His words and grace so freely given.

Awake, my eyes awake! See God’s gift of salvation.

Awake, my ears awake! Hear His words of comfort given.

Awake, my tongue awake! Proclaim His truth of redemption.

Awake, my mouth awake! Sing His praise and glory forever.

Awake, my heart awake! Be filled with God’s spirit.

Awake, my arms awake! Embrace His mercy forever.

Awake, my hands awake! Serve Him in His awesome creation.

Awake, my knees awake! Bow in prayer with humble adoration.

Awake, my legs awake! Stand firm with great devotion.

Awake, my feet awake! Follow the steps Jesus trod before us.

Awake, my soul awake! Praise God for His love and favor.

Rejoice, my being rejoice! Dwell with Christ forever.

swallowtail Bible verse John 8 verse 32 wm 3515

Psalm 34

1I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Peace [2]

Peace [2]

Today we will look at more Bible verses about peace. I am using the KJV Bible!

Lev.26:3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.   God gives us peace as we journey along!

Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:  23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.  [ We find peace in God’s chastisement ]

Eph.4:I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

[Peace is a bond of union.]

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

[Fruit of doing right is sown in peace!]

Psalm 125:5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.  Psalm 128:6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.  Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

 “We look forward to the time when the power of love will replace the love of power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.”  ~William Ewart Gladstone

Patience According to Scripture [1]

Patience:

Patience—n. tolerance, forbearance . Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and should be growing and produced in every Saint. Gal.5:22— long-suffering

Romans 15:5—Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: God is the God of patience, it is a characteristic of His divine nature!

Isaiah 53:7; Acts.8:32; Matt.27:14.   Isaiah 53:7–He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.  Acts.8:32–The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his Shearer, so opened he not his mouth:   Christ is our example for patience and long-suffering. He suffered that terrible death that we may have life; O, what a Savior!

Titus 2:2; 2 Peter 1:6—  Titus 2:2–That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.  2 Peter 1:5-6—-5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  Patience should be shown to others in our life as a good testimony for Jesus!
