Psalm 150 King James Version (KJV)

150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

JUST THINKING!

Just Thinking!
As I was sitting with my eyes closed, my mind wandered back to the cool fall evening in 1958. On that night in a little Baptist church I was convicted by the Holy Spirit that I was lost in sin and needed a Savior. The message that night was if you were to die tonight where would you spend Eternity. I went home and could not sleep, went back to that little Baptist Church the following night waiting for the invitation and walked up the aisle being a new creature by saying yes to Jesus as He called.

A Writing!

100_1127

In August 1963,

a sweetheart of a lady,

married me;

A year later,

a daughter was born,

named Natalie.

Our love was made,

made in Heaven,

Nancy was born,

in November 1967;

Three more years quickly past,

another daughter,

named June,was born,

and our love remained strong,

in 1972, our son was born,

a boy was finally here,

Winston was his name

welcome son, so glad you came.

Donna, I love you more,

than ever, for sure!

EVERYDAY!

Everyday no one visits,

everyday no one phones,

everyday no one cares,

everyday I need your prayers.

Everyday seems so lonely,

everyday seems cloudy and gray,

and I see a world in strife,

getting worse each day.

Wait,

everyday I have,

someone who cares,

everyday He hears my prayers,

everyday I have His Sonshine,

everyday I have His assurance,

everyday I have His salvation,

and I can sing,

O, what a beautiful morning,

O, what a beautiful day,

Jesus is my sunshine,

He keeps the clouds,

clouds of doubt and gloom away.

AFFLICTION [4]

We are promised delivery from affliction, not always now but in God's timing.

Psalm 34:17-20 King James Version

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

We need to pray for the afflicted.

James 5:13-14 King James Version

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Affliction will cease when Christ returns.

2 Thessalonians 1:4-7 King James Version

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,.

MY OLD SWING

My old swing,
sits beneath,
a large old pine;
a good place to sit,
swing back and forth,
my back toward the South,
my face toward the North.
My old swing is,
a great spot to think,
a great place to pray,
write things down,
sometimes in the evening,
sometimes at mid-day.
My old swing is,
a great place to thank God,
as I count the blessings,
He sends my way.
I thank You,
for my old swing,
where I can meditate,
on Your words night and day.
