JANUARY BURRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

January burrrrrrr,

cold winds blow,

we get warm,

beneath the furrrrrrr.

January burrrrrrr,

when the days,

slip bye,

sometimes fast,

sometimes slow,

when the January days,

makes us say burrrrrrr!

Soon these January days,

cold January days,

will be past,

but now,

all I can say,

is burrrrrrr!

EVERYDAY!

Everyday no one visits,

everyday no one phones,

everyday no one cares,

everyday I need your prayers.

Everyday seems so lonely,

everyday seems cloudy and gray,

and I see a world in strife,

getting worse each day.

Wait,

everyday I have,

someone who cares,

everyday He hears my prayers,

everyday I have His Sonshine,

everyday I have His assurance,

everyday I have His salvation,

and I can sing,

O, what a beautiful morning,

O, what a beautiful day,

Jesus is my sunshine,

He keeps the clouds,

clouds of doubt and gloom away.

MINDFUL GEARS

Some minds are stuck in neutral,
some minds are stuck in reverse,
some minds full speed ahead,
some minds on good things,
some minds need to be fed.
Some minds think positive,
while others seem to dread;
My mind is focused on Jesus,
the Good Shepherd,
who guards His sheep,
and keeps them spiritually fed.
So keep your mind in forward,
looking straight ahead,
and He will guide you,
onward toward Heaven,
there forever to live,
never more to dread.

~ Winston Staples

SNOOPY!

A early day,
cool and grey,
as we say good bye,
to Snoopy,
this ninth day of May.
We enjoyed,
his playful spirit,
his big brown eyes,
and wagging tail,
as he sniffed,
everything,
along the trail.
He got old,
he got sick;
We had him,
ten great years,
they passed so quick.
Good bye old friend,
good bye old pal,
you made us happy,
to the very end!

EASTER!

th (9)

Easter is not about,

Easter bunnies,

or about Easter eggs,

but instead it is about,

God’s love,

God’s grace,

sending His SON,

giving His blood,

suffering thorns,

on His head,

dying on the CROSS.

H e gave His LIFE,

for you and me.

What amazing love,

What amazing grace,

taking our sins,

giving us SALVATION,

peace in our hearts,

and JOY on our face.

OLDIES!

book-old-books-open-school_3205826

There was an old pen,

that fell to the floor,

it was dry of ink,

not able to write anymore.

There was an old man,

who sat on a chair,

not able to work anymore,

so lonely sitting there.

There was an old lady,

knitting socks for family,

she will knit these socks,

as long as she is able.

There is an old Bible,

laying open on the table,

being read everyday for wisdom,

and to keep them stable.

Remembering!

when I was young,

about age four,

I learned to skate,

by pushing a chair;

Mother watching me,

from the kitchen door;

my ankles were weak,

my determination strong,

I was skating on my own.

When our spirit seems low,

to our Heavenly Father,

we can go in faith,

seeking direction

and our spirit made strong.

Just Thinking!

JUST THINKING! As I sit listening to the song ” i will be home for Christmas”, My mind travels back, to my younger year. I would get home and smell those special smells; the mince meat pies and home baked bread, and the smiles I would be greeted with. Mom and Dad are both passed but the memory of the special times with them shall last forever.
