Atonement


Hi my friends, the last few days we looked briefly at assurance for the soul, now for the next few days we are going to look and see what the Bible says about how we have this assurance. This assurance is by atonement! The word atonement means to amend for injury or wrong; In Hebrew scripture it was man’s reconciliation with God after some sin. The redemptive life and death of Christ!

Atonement explained: Romans 5:8-11; 2 Co.5:18-19; Gal.1:4; 1 Jn..2:2; 4:10

 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Romans 5:11. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
